| Born in Belgium into a singer songwriter family, the first song she taught herself to play on the piano (at the tender age of 4!) was 'Airport by The Motors, after falling in love with its sad chords and sweeping melodies - both of which are strong features in her own writing style. | ||||
| After studying music and drama at The Arts Educational School, Michaela moved to London to pursue a career as a singer songwriter. Performing solo, she toured the live circuit and started to build a reputation as a session singer. Michaela is a member of bands TheGhostOrchestra, Azusa and performs with the Mike White Presents collective. She also sings regularly for film, TV and games - credits include the soundtrack to the award-winning sci-fi feature film Slipstream starring Sean Astin & Vinnie Jones, the arthouse short Teknolust starring Tilda Swinton, the new Just Cause game title for Eidos and Coca-Cola's 'The Future' advertising campaign. Michaela is an experienced vocal coach teaching privately and as part of The London Urban Collective. She is also a resident singing teacher at Laine Theatre Arts. | ||||
